Icom make waves at LIBS2002

Radio Communication Company, Icom UK Ltd, will be once again showcasing its latest range of communications products at London International Boat Show (LIBS) 2002. The highlight of this year's show will be the launch of four new marine products including the IC-M401Euro compact submersible fixed VHF, the IC-M503Euro dual station fixed VHF, the HM-134B COMMANDMIC™ remote control microphone and the IC-M21 entry-level handheld VHF. To further support these new products, Icom (UK) Ltd are providing their customers with the opportunity of extending the warranty period on ALL their Marine transceivers from one to three years*. Details of the new range of products and Icom's extended warranty package can be found on Stand No. 238B at Earl’s Court from the 3rd to the 13th of January 2002.

Making its debut at the LIBS 2002 will be Icom's latest submersible VHF fixed transceiver, the IC-M401Euro. Compact in size and easy to use, this new transceiver is ideal for anyone new to marine radio, anyone that wants to upgrade to a DSC solution at a later date or anyone wanting a waterproof transceiver where space is at a premium.

The IC-M503Euro and HM-134B COMMANDMIC™ are two new unique but totally interrelated products. The HM-134B COMMANDMIC™ remote control microphone, allows full control (except DSC) of its associate unit, the IC-M503EURO VHF transceiver from a separate area up to 18m away. This unique facility will give any large boat owner a higher level of flexibility and dependable communications in any environment.

The IC-M21 is Icom's new entry-level VHF marine handheld transceiver. This stylish new product has a number of exciting features, most notably waterproofing equivalent to JIS 7 standard.

In addition to its latest equipment Icom will also be showing its existing range of award winning marine products. These include the IC-M1EuroV which is the belt radio used by HM Coastguard, the IC-M3Euro budget handheld VHF, the licence free IC-446S, the IC-GM1500E survival craft radio and the IC-M710 GMDSS MF/HF Transceiver.
